- Download the latest firmware by hitting “Global”.
Step 3:- Unpack the Downloaded File
Now you have to unpack the downloaded file.
Step 4:- Connect the Internet Cable
Then connect the internet cable to the WAN/Internet port of your router. Ensure the port or Internet LED of the router is now ON. Use bundled LAN cable to connect any of the router LAN ports to the computer’s Ethernet card. Ensure that LAN indicator or LAN port LED of the router is ON.
Step 5:- Go to the Configuration Page
Now you will need to go to the configuration page on the connected computer. Then launch a web-browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Press “Enter” key.
Step 6:- Enter the Username and Password
Then enter “admin” (without quotes) in both the username and the password field as well.
Step 7:- Enter the Firmware Upgrade Menu
Enter the Firmware Upgrade menu, by using two possible web interfaces.
Go to “Advanced Settings” section, then “Administration”, and then open “Firmware Upgrade” tab. Then open the “System Setup menu”, and then “Firmware Upgrade”.
Step 8:- Browse to Choose File
Press “Browse” to choose files, and then press “Upload” to load it. Make sure that you don’t need to turn off your router during the firmware upgrade process.
